licensed Psychologist in the State of California, has developed competencies in
providing psychotherapy to the Spanish Speaking community within various clinical
settings. Originally developed an expertise in the area of Pediatric Psychology
after completing a two year post-doctoral fellowship through Children's Hospital
of Los Angeles. Provided psychological services to the Nephrology and Dialysis
Unit Division. In this capacity, consultation was provided to the medical team
in on issues including pre and post surgical intervention, pain management, coping
with long term hospitalizations and medical noncompliance. Competencies were also
achieved in providing abuse-focused therapy for children and adolescents victims
of a crime and or abuse. Administered, interpreted and consulted on bilingual
psycho-educational assessments. Also
developed a proficiency in conducting forensic evaluations through the Juvenile
Justice System and Dependency Court in Tulare county. Also conduct Competency
evaluations and Psychodiagnostic Conservatorship investigations of gravely disabled
minors and adult mentally ill populations. Competencies have been achieved in
conducting culturally sensitive assessments/evaluations for the purpose of providing
placement and treatment recommendations for the Spanish-speaking population. Have
provided consultation services to multidisciplinary treatment teams in community
mental health outpatient adult clinics. Also a member of a Cultural Competence
Committee responsible for providing cultural competency training.
