Dr. Marilyn Strada’s clinical background includes extensive experience in treating culturally
diverse individuals with a wide range of chronic and severe mental illnesses, such as depression,
anxiety, schizophrenia, addictive disorders, and personality disorders. Dr. Strada is a published
author in the areas of substance abuse research and treatment development, psychometric evaluation,
and adaptation of psychological care in accordance with cultural sensitivity principles. Her current
areas of clinical emphasis include psychodiagnostic and neuropsychological assessment, as well as
treatment of patients with trauma-related conditions, such as traumatic brain and spinal cord injuries,
chronic pain, and cognitive impairments. She is fully bicultural and bilingual (Spanish).
Dr. Strada is a graduate from the Clinical Psychology APA accredited program at the University
of Nevada, Las Vegas. She was awarded the prestigious American Psychological Association Minority
Fellowship Program grant for three years and the UNLV president’s award in support of her professional
pursuits. She completed her Bachelor’s of Arts degree at Chapman University in Orange, California.
Dr. Strada’s doctoral internship and postdoctoral training were completed at Pacific Clinics, an
APA accredited non-profit agency and one of the largest county-contractor mental health services
provider in Southern California.
